This week was kinda week off from school where classes were canceled, but we had to get prepared for midterms or catch up on reading. Some students were probably buried alive by homework and some were probably on the tropical beaches just chilling. I had been productive as I could be in terms of homework, but also taking advantage over the fact there isn’t class this week. There were many adventures starting off with the cottage.
These were taken over the course of a few days when I was up north with my parents. Reading week was literally right after the Thanksgiving weekend, which is pretty lame! We already have Monday off due to the Thanksgiving weekend, so we really only have four days off & that isn’t a full week. I would really like that extra day it wasn’t enough.
But anyways at the cottage I spent a lot of time helping my parents build and organize. The cottage itself isn’t complete and my parents are building it themselves. My dad is a boss of a successful masonry company & has been working for over 20 years in the field. It’s all coming along great!
You actually get to see a photo of me! I rarely participate in being in photos, but I realized I lack photos with my parents & wanna start getting some. Lately I’ve been wanting to document my entire life & print it so I can put it on my wall. I don’t get to do as much personal work & I really want to fill my apartment up with more life.
Always going off on a tangent, but hey it’s who I am. After the weekend I came back home to Toronto where I spent most of my time studying, editing or skateboarding. I’ve got so much footage on my action camera I’ll begin editing videos shortly. Within the first few days of being back in Toronto I was already hanging out with my friends. We planned a simple photo shoot & adventure through Toronto where my friend Shay & I would be taking photos. To sum this photo shoot up, we were at the right place at the right time! The clouds were so beautiful and our view of the CN Tower complimented the entire experience.
Taking photos of Josh & Danny was fun, but I realized I really need to practice my portraits. I personally feel like I’m slacking in a few aspects & I’m trying to formulate a plan to progress. If you’re in Toronto or coming to Toronto & want a photo hit me up! I really wanna practice my portraiture, but nonetheless I’m thankful Danny & Josh were down for photos.
To end the night Shay & I skated as Danny filmed us while Josh just chilled. It was a fun skate sesh and again I can’t wait to edit the footy we got that night - we’re actually stacking skate clips at the moment! After Shay landed his trick we left & stumbled upon this awesomely lit spot. The past few weeks have been a lot of personal work, but I can’t complain I love it all.
Thank you for your time and I hope you have a good night,
- Dominik Magdziak (:
